home to me is massively influenced by my nick-nacks and belongings I’ve collected over the years. Wether that is family memorabilia or things of nostalgic value, these make me feel most at home. Traveling since graduating high school and for work, living in different countries and cities, made it apparently clear to me that feeling at home to me requires being surrounded by my things. That being the linking element to these different homes was what I choose to express with this piece.

I screen printed several images of the 3 homes I stayed at the longest, with the most memorabila in common on a piece of fabric. Combining this with my embroidery skills, by embroidering the common nick-nags over the screenprinted images, though the piece is yet to be finished.
